Family Services/Parent Involvement is a cornerstone of the Adaptive Solutions Multi Services Preschool, Integrated and Special Class Program.
Adaptive Solutions Multi Services understands that child development gains are sustained over time when parents are involved. The program offers parents opportunities and support for growth, so that they can identify their own strengths, needs and interests, and find their own solutions.
The objective in Adaptive Solution’s Family and Community Partnership/Parent Involvement content area is to support parents as they identify and meet their own goals, nurture the development of their children in the context of their family and culture, and advocate for communities that are supportive of children and families of all cultures. The building of trusting and collaborative relationships between parents and staff allows them to share with and to learn from one another.
Adaptive Solutions Multi Services recognizes and understands the importance of Parent Involvement in nurturing and developing children in the context of their family and culture. To ensure parents continue to have optimum participation in the program, the following opportunities were established for all parents:
Active participation in parent orientation and parent workshops
Active interactions with child at home through developmentally appropriate activities
Active enhancement of parenting skills
Active participation in the transition process
Active participation in building a foundation for school readiness
